The City of Arts and Sciences is an architectural, cultural and entertainment complex in the city of Valencia (Spain). It was inaugurated on June 9, 1998 with the opening of El Hemisférico. The last major component of the City is the Agora. The City of Arts and Sciences intended to install the name of its main buildings in giant letters as a brand image and photo point for tourists, in addition to being an identifying element of each of the elements of the complex. For this, we carry out a project in fiberglass, since this material is ideal for the idea that the client had, since it has good resistance exposed to the sun and a good behavior in contact with water, since they will be located within the ponds adjacent to each construction. In addition, each letter is illuminated of LED, with dimensions of 1.80 m. high and 0.40 m. Wide.

Objetivo del Proyecto

- Avoid corrosion. The GRP is the perfect material for this outdoor application in continuous contact with water.
- Add an LED lighting in all the letters, despite being placed in the water.
- Lightness and rigidity.
- Make the letters of an optimal size to meet the needs of the client.

Resultado Final

Look Composites® has developed this project with a GRP system, combining it with LED lights, with a result in elegance and piece quality for this type of decorative application. These pieces in GRP give a distinctive and decorative touch to this great point of interest, visited by thousands of people, as well as being an identifying element for each of these buildings. The maintenance of these new letters is low, and there is no fear of corrosion.
