MARINA DE EMPRESAS is a project promoted by Juan Roig, president of Mercadona and vice president of EDEM. An environment where the necessary conditions are created to encourage individual initiative and talent. Forming, advising and financing the entrepreneurs of today and the future. In practice, the project was based on the renovation of the old pavilions of the Copa America de Vela and converted them into two modern buildings close to the sea that create a dream environment for its inhabitants. For its construction the architects valued the virtues of the GRP and applied it throughout the enclosure and sunshades. In the words of ERRE Arquitectura: "We were worried about the marine aggression. We copied from the boats, from their material: Fiberglass Reinforced with Resins (FRP). Something completely INNOVATIVE in the field of architecture. We love learning. "
- Create a light envelope, so as not to have to reinforce the existing structure. - A skin to which the aggressiveness of the sea does not take its toll. - Create unique shapes in certain areas that give the characteristic image of the building. - Isolate some buildings very exposed to the sun.
More than 7,000 square meters of cladding in GRP sandwich panels, with more than 120 different types of measurements. More than 3,000 meters of horizontal parasols manufactured to measure. More than 14,000 meters of sunshades. All in a period of less than one year.
